SevaSetu360 — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
SevaSetu360 is a temple management application used by authorised staff of Shree Kamakshi Saunsthan (Shiroda, Goa, India), developed and operated by Megalon. This policy explains what information the application handles, why, and how it is protected.
Who this application is for
SevaSetu360 is an internal tool for temple staff. Access requires a username and password issued by the temple administrator. It is not intended for use by the general public.
Information we handle
To record and manage seva (offering) bookings, staff enter and store information about devotees, including:
- Name, postal address, city, state and PIN code
- Mobile number and email address
- Payment method and transaction references (e.g. bank or UPI reference, receipt number and date)
- Seva booking details, amounts and related notes
- Images or PDFs of handwritten receipts that staff upload
Staff account information (name, email, role and a securely hashed password) is also stored to operate the sign-in system.
How the information is used
- To create and manage seva bookings and generate receipts
- To read handwritten receipts using automated text recognition
- To send booking confirmations and receipts to devotees by email and WhatsApp, when requested
- To maintain the temple's records
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or unrelated profiling.
Service providers
The application relies on the following providers to function. Information is shared with them only to the extent needed to deliver the service:
- Microsoft Azure — hosts the application server and database where records and uploaded receipt files are stored.
- Anthropic (Claude) — processes uploaded receipt images to extract the text on them.
- Email and WhatsApp messaging providers — deliver confirmations and receipts to devotees when a notification is sent.
Data security
- Access requires authentication; staff passwords are stored only as secure hashes.
- Communication between the application and the server uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
- Records are stored in a private, access-controlled cloud database.
Data retention
Records are retained for as long as needed for the temple's administrative and accounting purposes, or as required by law. Devotees may request correction or deletion of their information by contacting the temple using the details below.
Children's privacy
The application is used by temple staff and is not directed at children.
Your choices
To ask what information is held about you, or to request correction or deletion, please contact us. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
